Errors that may appear when using the Reset Forgotten Password with Security Q&A utility:

Please use valid NetID format.

This message appears when you enter an invalid NetID. Please verify you are entering your NetID in the correct format.

Too Many Help-Requests for this NetID. Please try later or contact the Support Center for assistance.

This message appears when you make too many failed attempts entering identity information and Security Question/Answer. Try again after waiting at least 30 minutes and make sure you are entering the requested information in the specified format.

Entry Does Not Match Birth Date/SSN on File.

This message appears when you enter an incorrect Birth Date (DOB) or Social Security Number (SSN). If you entered the correct DOB/SSN and it continues to fail, it could be that this information is incorrect in Banner. In this case, please contact the Support Center for assistance.

Entry Does Not Match Your Answer on File

This message appears when you enter an incorrect answer to your Security Question. If you have forgotten the answer to your Security Question, please contact the Support Center for assistance.

Your NetID is Not Eligible for Automated Password Reset.

This message appears when you attempt a Password Reset for a NetID that is not eligible to use this utility. The Forgotten Password Reset feature is for Student and Faculty only. It cannot reset a Staff member password. For Staff in need of password reset, please contact your college IT Department or the Support Center for assistance.
